Why people answer yes

The situation behind the question.

Becoming a recognized charity is mostly a documentation problem: a clear mission, a governing board, bylaws, financial controls, and a program model that funders can evaluate. People arrive here with a real need in the community and an idea for meeting it, but without the structure that turns an idea into an organization. This area helps map that path.

Helpful to include
  • Your mission and the population you would serve
  • Where you are in the process
  • Any existing documents: bylaws, board, or EIN
  • Geography and timeline
